2026 Community Awards

The McKinney Chamber of Commerce is proud to present the 2026 Community Awards Celebration: A Night in the Emerald City—There’s No Place Like McKinney presented by Commercial Bank of Texas.

This signature annual event honors the people and organizations whose leadership, service, and vision help our community shine. The evening includes recognition of outstanding contributions to the City of McKinney and the Chamber of Commerce, highlighted by the prestigious Carey Cox Outstanding Citizen Award.

What’s new for 2026:

• Awards will be presented in a compressed, one-hour program, keeping the spotlight on our honorees and the momentum strong.
• When the final award is announced, the celebration continues as Downtown Fever—an Emerald City Band takes the stage, inviting us all to celebrate our winners in true Emerald City style.
• Expect playful surprises throughout the evening, adding moments of delight and discovery as we follow the yellow-brick road through a night of celebration.

Awards are proudly presented by the City of McKinney, McKinney Community Development Corporation, McKinney Economic Development Corporation, McKinney Main Street, Visit McKinney, and the McKinney Chamber of Commerce.
